The 15th CUHK Golf Day was held successfully

The 15th CUHK Golf Day was held on Monday, 13 February 2023 at the Eden Course, Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling. The event drew an excellent response from CUHK alumni and friends, and featured 25 teams with 100 golfers in total. The event has raised over 5 Million in support of CUHK and the proceeds will go towards the development of the University, Colleges, as well as enriching the “CUHK Golf Day Scholarship”.
The Tee-off Ceremony was officiated by Professor Anthony Chan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of CUHK, Mrs Carol Tsang, Platinum Sponsor and representative of Billion Charity Fund and Mr Stewart Cheng, Gold Sponsor of the event. During the Ceremony, Professor Chan expressed his gratitude towards alumni and friends of CUHK for their steadfast support in making CUHK's Golf Day a remarkable event. “The 15th Golf Day, the first hallmark event following the CUHK's 60th Anniversary Commencement Ceremony, was a perfect warm-up for our upcoming celebratory event.” said Professor Chan.
Professor Rocky Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, conveyed that he was delighted to see CUHK Golf Day has received such enthusiastic responses. He believed that the event creates a valuable opportunity for donors, alumni and friends to gather through golfing. As 2023 marks the 60th Anniversary of CUHK, the great success of the CUHK Golf day demonstrated the vitality and harmony of the CUHK family.
The prestigious “CU Cup” went to the United College this year and “United College Team (2)” was the Champion of the “Oriental Watch Open Cup - Best Net” prize. CUHK Golf Day Scholarship
Established in 2011, the “CUHK Golf Day Scholarship” is an admission scholarship for first-year undergraduates who achieved academic excellence and participated actively in voluntary services and sports activities. Financial needs of students will also be taken into consideration during the selection process. A total of nine outstanding students were awarded the scholarship this year.
