The 16th CUHK Golf Day was held successfully

The 16th CUHK Golf Day was held on Monday, 15 April 2024 at the Eden Course, Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling. The event drew an excellent response from CUHK alumni and friends, and featured 20 teams with nearly 80 golfers. The event has raised over HK$ 3 million in support of CUHK and the proceeds will go towards the development of the University, Colleges, as well as enriching the “CUHK Golf Day Scholarship”.
The Tee-off Ceremony was officiated by Professor Anthony Chan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Mrs Carol Tsang, Platinum Sponsor and representative of Billion Charity Fund and Mr Stewart Cheng, Gold Sponsor of the event. During the Ceremony, Professor Chan expressed his gratitude towards alumni and friends of CUHK for their unwavering support in making CUHK's Golf Day a successful event.
Professor Rocky Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, expressed gratitude to alumni, sponsors, and the Golf Day Advisory Committee for their support at the ceremony. Their invaluable advice has made Golf Day event a resounding success. The members of the Advisory Committee actively called on elite alumni from various sectors to participate in the golf tournament. The enthusiastic support and participation of the alumni truly reflect the spirit of unity and the sense of belonging to CUHK. Looking ahead, Professor Tuan hopes that CUHK will continue to serve as a solid bridge for connecting the world, nurturing more exceptional talents, and promoting the core values of CUHK.

CUHK Golf Day Scholarship
Established in 2011, the “CUHK Golf Day Scholarship” is an admission scholarship for first-year undergraduates who achieved academic excellence and participated actively in voluntary services and sports activities. Financial needs of students will also be taken into consideration during the selection process. A total of ten outstanding students were awarded the scholarship this year.
