In appreciation of the generous donation made by Mr and Mrs Tang Hin-chak, Ian, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) named the Lecture Theatre 3 of the Yasumoto International Academic Park after Mr Lee Yuk, the late father of Mrs Tang.  Established the Little Book Shop in Macau, the late Mr Lee Yuk made a significant contribution to promoting literature and culture.  The Naming Ceremony was held on 5 November, officiated by Mr and Mrs Tang Hin-chak, Ian and Professor Joseph J Y Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK.  The Ceremony was graced by the presence of family members of Mr and Mrs Tang.

In his welcoming speech, Professor Joseph J Y Sung expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr and Mrs Tang for the staunch support they have rendered to the Chinese University.  This donation will be used to support the development of the Institute of Environment, Energy and Sustainability for conducting leading-edge research on climate change and public health.  Mr and Mrs Ian Tang have also made another generous donation in support of the establishment of the “Lee Yuk (The Little Book Shop) Medical Scholarships” for outstanding medical and nursing students with financial needs.
