Show Description

A full house of 2,000 alumni and friends of the University attended the CUHK-Children's Choir Fundraising Concert at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. The event raised approximately HK$1.3 million for the University.

In addition to the Diamond Sponsors Mr. and Mrs. Yeung Ming-biu and other generous patrons, CUHK saw the birth of the two youngest sponsors in her history at the time - eighteen-month-old Ella Yasumoto and three-month-old Hugo Yasumoto.

The concert was jointly presented by the Standing Committee of CUHK Convocation and the University's Office of Institutional Advancement. About 170 guest performers took to the stage, including The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC), The Gay Singers, and the Chinese Music Ensemble of CUHK Department of Music. Funds raised will mainly be used to support student scholarships and activities of the CUHK School of Law, the CUHK Convocation Outstanding Services and Creativity Awards Foundation, the CUHK Physical Education Unit, as well as The Community Chest of Hong Kong.
