The 12th CUHK Golf Day was successfully held on 9 January 2017 (Monday) at the Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling. Professor Fok expressed his gratitude towards sponsors, alumni and friends who have rendered continuous support to the CUHK Golf Day. A total of HK$1.6 million has been raised through this year’s Golf Day.

This year, there are a total 23 teams competing for close to 40 group and individual titles. The United College, for the first time, won the prestigious award – The CU Cup. The United College Team (1) is also the winner of the Oriental Watch Open Cup - Best Net, and their alumni Mr Jeremy Tang and Ms Leong Kuo-wa won the Men’s and Ladies’ Best Gross Championship respectively.

Professor Michael Hui, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of CUHK, thanked our sponsors, in particular Dr Yeung Ming-biu, for being the Supreme Sponsor of the CUHK Golf Day for two consecutive years. Professor Hui also announced that a record high of over 50 alumni joined this year’s CUHK Golf Day.

All donations solicited through the event will be used to enrich the CUHK Golf Day Scholarship and development of colleges. Seven undergraduates, with outstanding academic performance and active participation in voluntary services and sports activities, have been awarded the scholarship this year.
